History In May of 2005, a group of home school parents stood on the brink of something new and wonderful. Within less than three months, the impossible became possible. Three athletic programs were in place with Christian coaches whose lives displayed their faith. By the end of the year, the football team, three basketball teams, and the volleyball team had completed full seasons. The freshman boys’ basketball team had placed 2nd in 4A in the nation. An Ethics Committee had been added to the Steering Committee to assist with the godly guidance of the organization. In addition to the first objectives, it became apparent that equally important was the preparing of students with skills to remain firm in their beliefs and to work and live in a world that often does not reflect the same values. While the majority of students live in Austin, Round Rock, and Georgetown, students participate currently from Buda, Kyle, Dripping Springs, Manchaca, Oak Hill, Spicewood, Marble Falls, Leander, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, West Lake, Pflugerville, Thorndale, Smithville, Cedar Creek, and Del Valle. Parents appreciate the way their children thrive in the setting of our program, among like-minded youth. In 2012 we added a Cheer element to the Royals that will add a new dimension to the Royals program. We also ended our long time affiliation with Austin Area Home School Sports (AAHSS) in order to allow more flexibility in the governance and direction of the team. We adopted the name Capital Christian Royals. In 2013 we became a member of the Texas Association of Independent Athletes Organization (TAIAO) and Capital Christian Homeschool won the TAIAO State Championship!
